The Aavegotchi Rarity Farming Season 8 has recently been announced, bringing with it a significant 150,000 GHST prize pool and a range of new features aimed at enhancing the competitive experience for players. Aavegotchi is a one-of-a-kind Web3 game that combines NFT collectibles, decentralized finance (DeFi), and gaming to create an immersive and engaging experience. Aavegotchis are pixelated ghost NFTs with unique attributes that impact their rarity and abilities within the game.
One of the key additions to Season 8 is the introduction of double-elimination tournaments, providing participants with two chances to compete before being eliminated from the competition. This format allows teams to bounce back from a loss by moving to the loser’s bracket and fighting their way back to the top. Additionally, teams now have the option to have two substitutes per team, enabling players to make strategic swaps between rounds to better adapt to their opponents’ tactics.
The tournament schedule for Season 8 includes several important dates for players to take note of. Registration for the 10K GHST Tournament is open from June 17 at 2 PM to June 24 at 2 PM UTC. Following that, registration for the 40K GHST Tournament will be open from July 1 at 2 PM to July 8 at 2 PM UTC. Lastly, registration for the 100K GHST Tournament will run from July 8 at 2 PM to July 15 at 2 PM UTC. Each round of the tournament will begin 12 hours after the registration period closes, with subsequent rounds starting 12 hours after the previous round concludes.
To participate in the Aavegotchi Rarity Farming Season 8 tournaments, players must visit the Gotchi Battler website, select the tournament they wish to join, and click the “Create Team” button. They will then need to choose five Gotchis and two optional substitutes to form their team. Additionally, players must designate a team leader and decide on their formation before finalizing their team configuration. By saving their team setup, players can then prepare for the upcoming competition.
For players who may not have the necessary Gotchis to participate, the “Gotchi Lending” tab on the tournament page offers a solution. Players can rent eligible Gotchis to strengthen their teams. Those with unused Gotchis can lend them to others through the official Aavegotchi dapp, earning GHST in return. It is recommended that the lending period be 168 hours (7 days) to cover the registration duration, ensuring that wearables remain unchanged before the tournament begins.
One of the standout features of Season 8 is the introduction of a preparation phase between rounds. During this phase, teams have the opportunity to make strategic adjustments such as swapping out Gotchis, changing team leaders, and modifying formations. This tactical advantage allows players to adapt their strategies based on their opponents’ moves, potentially tipping the scales in their favor during the battles ahead.
The upcoming Aavegotchi Rarity Farming Season 8 promises to be an exciting and competitive experience for players. With the introduction of double-elimination tournaments, the option for two substitutes per team, and a strategic preparation phase, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and tactics in a dynamic gaming environment.
